On August 22, 1902, the Tokyo Electric Railway began operation of Tokyo's first streetcar line connecting Shinbashi and Shinagawa. 1997年8月22日、大阪府北部を走る大阪モノレールの南茨木駅から門真市駅までの区間が開業しました。 この区間の開業により、当時世界最長の営業距離を誇る単一モノレール路線となりました。 大阪北部と大阪市中心部を結ぶ新たな交通手段として、通勤・通学に多大な利便性をもたらしました。 初日の運行では多くの利用者が訪れ、沿線地域の活性化にも寄与しました。 その後も路線は拡大を続け、現在では大阪の重要な公共交通インフラの一翼を担っています。
