古代ローマ、第13代皇帝トラヤヌスがトライアーナ水道を完成させる。

Emperor Trajan completes the Aqua Traiana aqueduct, a major engineering feat that supplied fresh water to ancient Rome.
On June 24, 109 AD, Emperor Trajan inaugurated the Aqua Traiana, an ambitious aqueduct carrying water from Lake Bracciano to Rome. Spanning over 40 kilometers, it addressed the capital's growing demand for clean water amid urban expansion. The project featured impressive bridges, arches, and tunnels carved through the Roman countryside. It supplied public baths, fountains, and private residences for centuries after its completion. Trajan's aqueduct demonstrated the ingenuity and durability of Roman civil engineering. Remains of the Aqua Traiana can still be seen today as a testament to ancient infrastructure.
