Morganite was discovered in 1910, a relatively new gemstone named after American banker J.P. Morgan. A variety of beryl in the same mineral group as aquamarine and emerald. Its gentle colors from pale pink to deep peach come from manganese. With Mohs hardness 7.5-8, its beautiful pink is known as the 'stone that attracts love,' added as April birthstone in Japan's 2021 revision.
