Steve MacLean is a Canadian physicist and retired astronaut born in 1954. He earned a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Western Ontario before joining the Canadian Space Agency. MacLean flew on Space Shuttle missions STS-52 in 1992 and STS-115 in 2006, conducting experiments in microgravity. He later served as President of the Canadian Space Agency from 2008 to 2013. His work has advanced Canada's role in human spaceflight and satellite technology.
