George Edward Moore was a leading figure in analytic philosophy, born in 1873 in London. He taught at Cambridge University and is best known for his works on ethics and epistemology, including 'Principia Ethica' which introduced the 'naturalistic fallacy'. Moore’s precise arguments and clear style helped shape 20th-century philosophy. He defended common-sense beliefs against skepticism and influenced generations of philosophers. His work on the analysis of language laid groundwork for the analytic tradition. Moore died in 1958, leaving a profound intellectual legacy.

Yannis Hotzeas (1930–1994) emerged as a leading figure in Greek Marxist circles during the post-war era. He founded and led several leftist organizations dedicated to revolutionary socialism. Hotzeas authored influential essays and books that critiqued mainstream politics and advocated for workers’ rights. His theoretical work combined Marxist analysis with contemporary social issues in Greece. Despite facing political persecution, he remained committed to his ideals throughout his life.
