World Space Week(October 4–10)

International Lesbian Day

A day to celebrate and raise awareness of lesbian culture and community observed internationally on October 8.
International Lesbian Day originated in New Zealand in 1980 and has since spread to communities around the world. It celebrates lesbian visibility, activism, and contributions to LGBTQ+ culture. Events include film screenings, panel discussions, and social gatherings that foster solidarity and empowerment. The observance provides a platform to address challenges such as discrimination and legal rights. It also honors the achievements of lesbian leaders and artists who have shaped history.
