Across his career, he logged over 68 hours in space and accumulated thousands of flight hours as a test pilot. After retiring from NASA in 1986, he contributed to aerospace research and mentored a new generation of astronauts. C. Gordon Fullerton passed away on August 21, 2013, remembered for his trailblazing achievements in aviation and space exploration.
