At Detroit's Caucus Club, Campbell's Soup salesman John Hurley was struggling with poor sales of beef bouillon cans. Restaurant owner Lester Gruber, inspired by the popularity of the Bloody Mary, suggested combining beef bouillon with vodka. When the completed cocktail was taste-tested by GM executives, it was well-received and eventually became beloved among celebrities.

Recipe
Ingredients:
- Vodka - 30 ml
- Beef Bouillon - 60 ml
- Worcestershire Sauce - 1 dash
- Tabasco Sauce - 1 dash
- Lemon Juice - 少量 dash
- Salt - 適量 pinch
- Black Pepper - 適量 pinch
Instructions:
- Fill an old fashioned glass with ice
- Pour chilled beef bouillon
- Add vodka
- Add a few drops of Worcestershire and Tabasco sauce
- Add a small amount of lemon juice
- Stir well with a bar spoon
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste
- Garnish with celery stick and lemon slice to complete
