Cynar Cola

Category: Long Cocktail
Base Spirit: Cynar
Alcohol Content: 8-10%
Glass Type: Highball Glass

Description

Cynar Cola is a unique cocktail made by mixing the unusual Italian artichoke liqueur 'Cynar' with cola. Born in 1952, Cynar features a complex flavor combining artichoke as the main ingredient with 13 types of herbs, and its distinctive bitterness is beautifully harmonized by cola's sweetness and carbonation. Though seemingly an unexpected combination, it's beloved in Italy and countries worldwide as a sophisticated adult cocktail with an exquisite balance of bitterness, sweetness, and refreshing carbonation. It's the perfect drink for those seeking artistic and distinctive flavors.

Origin

Country of Origin: Italy (1952年)

Cynar was developed in 1952 by Venetian entrepreneur and philanthropist Angelo Dalle Molle. The actual idea began in 1948 when Rindo Dondi Pinton, head of production at G.B. Pezziol distilleries in Padua, heard about the beneficial properties of artichokes. After careful experimentation, this bitter was called Cynar and was marketed three years later with its official label. In the early 1960s, it became hugely popular through actor Ernesto Calindri's appearance on Italian TV advertising show 'Carosello' with the catchphrase 'against the wear-and-tear of modern life'.
