Bennett also pioneered the modern news agency concept by establishing correspondents in Europe and Asia. He financed adventures such as the Gordon Bennett Cup in yachting and automobile racing, boosting the paper’s profile. Despite controversies over editorial practices, his innovations in journalism and broadcasting left a lasting mark on mass media.

Denis Thatcher was an English businessman born in 1915 in Lewisham. He trained as an engineer and built a successful career in the family portrait and catering equipment business. In 1951, he married Margaret Roberts, later Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and became a supportive partner throughout her political career. Known for his understated wit and private nature, he preferred to stay out of the public eye. Thatcher managed the family's interests and maintained a low profile despite his wife's prominence. He was honored with a baronetcy in 1990 and died in 2003.

David Azrieli was a Polish-Canadian real estate developer and philanthropist born in 1922 in Czernowitz, Poland (now Ukraine). A Holocaust survivor, he emigrated to British Mandate Palestine and later settled in Canada. He founded the Azrieli Group, a leading real estate and investment company. Azrieli's developments include iconic shopping centers and office towers in Canada and Israel. A committed philanthropist, he established educational and cultural foundations, including the Azrieli Foundation. He was awarded the Order of Canada for his contributions and died in 2014.
