Francis Atterbury (1663–1732) was a leading English churchman and High Tory politician. Educated at Westminster School and Christ Church, Oxford, he became chaplain to Queen Anne and later Bishop of Rochester. A gifted Latin poet, he published sermons and translations admired for their classical elegance. Atterbury played a central role in the Jacobite Atterbury Plot of 1722, aiming to restore the Stuart monarchy. He was arrested, tried for treason, and exiled to France, where he continued his literary work. His exile writings and correspondence provide insight into early 18th-century religious and political conflicts.

Albert Tessier (1895–1976) was a Roman Catholic priest and prolific historian who chronicled the history of Quebec and its religious communities. Born in Sainte-Thècle, Quebec, he joined the Oblates of Mary Immaculate and was ordained in 1921. Tessier published numerous books and articles that explored regional history, missionary work, and the development of the French-Canadian Church. His scholarly research and engaging lectures helped preserve Quebec's cultural identity during a period of rapid social change. Tessier also served as an educator, shaping generations of students with his passion for history and faith.

Born in 1912 in Surat, India, Mohammed Burhanuddin became the 52nd Da'i al-Mutlaq in 1965. Under his leadership, the Dawoodi Bohra community expanded globally, establishing educational institutions, mosques, and charitable organizations. He emphasized community welfare, education, and interfaith dialogue, and authored numerous religious texts. His tenure saw significant growth in social services, healthcare, and cultural preservation. Burhanuddin's guidance impacted millions until his death in 2014.

David Sheppard played for Sussex and appeared in 22 Test matches for England as a fast bowler. After retiring from cricket, he was ordained in the Church of England and served as Bishop of Liverpool. Sheppard was a prominent advocate for racial equality and social justice in Britain. He co-authored several books exploring theology and sport and became a respected broadcaster. His unique dual career made him a notable figure in post-war British society. Sheppard was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for his contributions to church and sport. Arthur Roche is an English archbishop of the Catholic Church who has served in the Roman Curia on liturgical matters. Ordained in 1974, he earned a doctorate in theology before being named Bishop of Leeds in 2004. From 2012 to 2021, he served as Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
