Born in the Philippines to a Spanish father and Filipino mother, Paulino Alcántara rose to fame at FC Barcelona, where he remains one of the club's all-time leading scorers. After retiring as a player, he returned to Barcelona as a coach and later pursued a career in medicine and politics. His pioneering achievements paved the way for Asian football talent in Europe.

Kid Gavilán was a Cuban-born professional boxer who held the world welterweight title from 1951 to 1954. Known for his signature 'bolo punch,' he compiled an impressive record of 108 wins, 40 losses, and 7 draws. Gavilán became the first Cuban boxer to win a world championship, shining in bouts against top contenders of his era. His dynamic fighting style and showmanship earned him international fame. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in recognition of his pioneering role in Latin American boxing.

Nelson Briles was born in 1943 in Kirkwood, Missouri. He debuted in MLB with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1965 and won his first World Series ring in 1967. He later pitched for the Kansas City Royals and Pittsburgh Pirates, earning a second championship in 1971. Over his 11-season career, he compiled a 112–87 win–loss record and was known for his aggressive mound presence. After retiring, Briles became a popular sportscaster for the Kansas City Royals, providing candid analysis for nearly two decades. He passed away in 2005, leaving a lasting legacy in Midwest baseball history.

Richard Møller Nielsen (1937–2014) was a Danish footballer turned coach, best known for leading Denmark to unexpected victory at UEFA Euro 1992. As a player, he earned multiple caps for the Danish national team as a defender during the 1960s. Transitioning to coaching, he served as an assistant before taking charge of the national side in 1990. His pragmatic tactics and strong team unity propelled Denmark to continental glory against all odds. After Euro ’92, he managed several clubs and contributed to youth development, leaving a lasting impact on Danish football.
