Jamnalal Bajaj (1884–1942) was a pioneering Indian entrepreneur who established one of India's leading business conglomerates, the Bajaj Group. A devoted follower of Mahatma Gandhi, he embraced principles of nonviolence and community service. Bajaj funded the Indian independence movement and promoted rural development projects. He founded schools, libraries, and craft centers to uplift underprivileged communities. His efforts to promote Khadi and swadeshi goods fostered economic self-reliance. Bajaj's model of combining commerce with social responsibility remains influential in modern business ethics.
