She founded numerous schools and hospitals, advocating for women's education and social welfare across India. Dürüşehvar Sultan was respected for blending Ottoman traditions with local culture, fostering artistic exchange and cultural preservation. After India's independence, she continued her philanthropic work from London until her death in 2006. Her enduring legacy lives on through the institutions she established and her role in strengthening Indo-Ottoman ties.
