It can be enjoyed more like a cold soup than a cocktail and is beloved as a breakfast cocktail. Origin

Created in 1934 by French bartender Fernand Petiot working at New York's luxury King Cole Bar. Petiot had previously conceived a drink combining vodka and tomato juice while working in Paris, but completed it after moving to America by adding spices and seasonings.
