Hot Campari

Category: Hot Cocktail
Base Spirit: Campari
Alcohol Content: 約8%
Glass Type: Hot Drink Mug

Description

Hot Campari is a heartwarming winter cocktail born in northern Italy's Alpine regions. By enveloping Campari's distinctive herbal bitterness with hot water, the aromas of over 60 spices and herbs become even more pronounced, creating a special drink that warms you from the core during cold seasons. The gentle sweetness of honey and refreshing acidity of lemon soften Campari's bitterness, resulting in a more approachable flavor. Like true friendship, it's a cup that holds warmth close to the heart.

Origin

Country of Origin: Italy (Northern Alpine region) (1940年代)

During World War II, mountain troops in northern Italy's Alpine regions created this drink by mixing Campari with hot water to warm their bodies against the harsh cold. After the war, locals added honey and lemon to develop it into a more delicious and approachable hot cocktail. It's now served as 'Campari Caldo' in luxury hotels and bars, continuing to be beloved as a winter staple drink.
