Fanny Bullock Workman was an adventurous American geographer and one of the earliest female mountaineers in the Himalayas. She set altitude records on Nanga Parbat and documented her explorations in detailed maps and books. A staunch advocate for women's rights, she gave lectures and wrote passionately about her travels and scientific observations. Her work expanded geographic knowledge and challenged gender norms in exploration.
